When the invitation calls for white-tie, think ball gowns. Think the biggest most froufrou designer frock that you can find. Floor length is a must. Evening slacks are outré. For the Houston Grand Opera Ball, chaired by Zane and Brady Carruth, the ladies and gents obliged. The “Carnevale di Venezia” theme inspired particularly high notes to the grand evening.
Among our favorites were several vintage pieces as well as the line up of au courant designers including Texas’ own Brandon Maxwell, Naeem Khan, and Monique Lhuillier.
Check out the array of designer gowns in the slide show above.
