New Dallas Pet Salon Takes Pampering To a New Level With Blowouts and Full Pedicures: Dogs Are Loving the Luxe Life
BY Natalie Gempel // 06.27.18We all know the confidence and joy that a great haircut or blowout can give – but does your dog? A new salon in Dallas wants to take pet pampering to the next level.
Kibble Pet, a luxury pet-care brand, is opening KP Groom, its first grooming salon in Dallas, this summer. The pet spa will offer treatments using its natural salon-level products, with a small retail space featuring high-end pet goods and art from New York’s HG Contemporary Gallery.
A leading brand in the pet-care industry, Kibble Pet creates products without harsh toxic ingredients, so opening its own spa was a natural next step.
“I hated when I took my dogs to be groomed that I was charged extra for a higher-end or hypoallergenic shampoo and conditioner,” Kibble Pet founder Samantha Kent says in a statement. “At KP Groom, every product we use is human-salon quality and hypoallergenic, and you will not pay a fee for it.”
The full-service pet salon will provide a wide range of grooming options, from the basic (baths, heatless blowouts, tooth brushing, nail trims) to the absurd. Have you ever heard of a Pawdicure? It’s a human-style pedicure for dogs — nail polish included.
If that’s a bit too much, you can opt for the Paw Pad Rub, a little massage that restores moisture to tired paws.
If your pet is ready for a full spa day, choose from several packages, such as the Not So Basic Bath or the KP Groom. (The latter includes a consultant with a professional pet stylist.)
Speaking of pet stylists, does your dog need a makeover? KP Groom’s brightening facial can help with that. Or maybe it’s time for Fido to get a new look. The salon offers full or partial hair dyes. (How does one become a canine colorist? Asking for a friend …) If you’re not punk rock enough to dye your dog, sparkle tattoos are also available.
KP Groom is set to open this summer at 6059 Sherry Lane.
