Louis Vuitton’s Holiday Decorations Redefine Christmas
These are No Ordinary Trees —
By Christina Geyer //
Louis Vuitton has reinvented the Christmas tree, as evidenced by a peek at its flagship store windows and decorations. The façade of the Place Vendôme LV store is lit with a weeping willow, and outside the store in Beijing, monumental Louis Vuitton ornaments are stacked in the shape of a pine.
Decorative windows at stores worldwide, including the Dallas Vuitton store in NorthPark Center, make a fantastical play on trees, with bonsais, cacti, and palms trimmed with cheery Louis Vuitton ornaments. There are Arclight sneaker ornaments, and those resembling the LV Twist and Petite Malle bags.
Croissants , piñatas, and an LV luggage-carrying ostrich also make ornamental appearances. Call it holiday surrealism.
