Dallas’ New Chic Magnet

Temple of Style Draws a Treasure Trove of Luxury Items —

By //

Since TheRealReal opened the doors to its newest Luxury Consignment Office in May, Dallasites are able to have their heirloom jewelry and gently worn Chanel appraised in a space that has as much designer cred as the labels up for auction on TheRealReal.com.

The minimalistic-chic interiors of the Crescent Court space were designed by Courtney Applebaum, who notably translated The Row’s elegant restraint into their retail space and has become known for her California modern aesthetic.

Applebaum has done the interiors for all of The RealReal’s Luxury Consignment Office locations, which include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington D.C. and, now, Dallas.

“Dallas is a market we have been committed to for quite some time, and at the first opportunity to establish ourselves at a class A property we were ready to extend that commitment,” says Michael Groffenberger, managing director of TheRealReal’s Luxury Consignment Offices.

Dallas is, not surprisingly, a luxury consignment treasure trove and Groffenberger says The RealReal’s new office has seen plenty of treasures come through its doors since opening just a couple of months ago.

“So far, Dallas has exceeded our expectations as this particular office has already received covetable jewelry and watches from timeless Cartier to vintage Hermes and Rolex.”

Other notable items already received in the Dallas LCO include Patek Philippe watches, vintage Verdura baubles and plenty of Chanel.

The space serves not only as a drop-off location for luxury items to consign but also a fine jewelry and watch valuation office. Clients can make an appointment with one of The RealReal’s graduate gemologists or watch experts to have items appraised during their office hours – an entirely complimentary service that includes a valuation document stating the item’s resale value.

Those who choose to consign could earn up to 70 percent of the sale price and benefit from TheRealReal’s white glove service, which handles everything from free in-home pickup to photography and online marketing.
