Coveted Luxury Brand to Open a Special Pop-Up Shop in Highland Park Village
It's Time for Max Mara Mania
By Megan Ziots //
Reggio Emilia-based Italian fashion house and luxury brand Max Mara will be popping up in Highland Park Village later this month. Founded by Achille Maramotti in 1951, Max Mara has been providing confident women with modern ready-to-wear clothing and accessories ever since.
Opening up shop briefly at the shopping village this month, the brand will have a temporary retail space on the second floor of Highland Park Village, above Starbucks, from November 20 through November 23.
The pop-up will feature Max Mara’s iconic Teddy Bear coat, along with a special visual installation. The coat, made from a unique fabrication of wool, alpaca and silk, on a base of silk, is a celebration of the fabric’s extravagance. For the new fall/winter line, the Teddy Bear coat is offered in turquoise, coral and cornflower blue.
Other signature outerwear, including the 101801 coat, Manuela coat and quilted Cube jackets will be available at the pop-up shop, as well as cashmere knits, silk blouses and tailored suiting options. A selection of elegant evening wear options will also be in display.
Handbags and footwear will also be offered, including the over-the-knee runway boots, Grace handbag with Teddy Bear details and cashmere lace-up boots. And some fun, cozy winter essentials like the Teddy Bear scarf and winter beanie will be available, too.
A special VIP luncheon and fashion presentation — hosted by Max Mara’s global brand ambassador Maria Giulia Maramotti, @BagSnob’s Tina Craig and the Dallas Museum of Art’s Art Ball 2020 chairman Brian Bolke — will take place November 19. A cocktail event that evening will also follow.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Art Ball 2020 and the Dallas Museum of Art.
