Storied Department Store Gets Innovative
One of the Most Distinctive Pop-Up Shops Ever Is Here
By Jailyn Marcel //
After wrapping a successful pop-in shop with global fashion and lifestyle curator Opening Ceremony, Nordstrom is on to its next pop-up venture — interiors. The department store has teamed up with Danish furniture and home accessories line Hay Mini Market for its next featured shop. The new pop-in serves as another feat in Nordstrom’s goal to diversify its inventory (we can thank Nordstom’s president of creative projects, Olivia Kim, for the increasingly innovative direction).
If Hay doesn’t sound familiar to you, you’re not alone. The creation of Copenhagen-based founders Rolf and Mette Hay, the brand made its American debut at the Museum of Modern Art’s (MoMA) Soho store in August 2015, making this partnership with Nordstrom all the more special. Look out for 191 of Hay‘s signature modern and minimalist items, featuring everything from handblown glassware ($24) and kitchen accessories to gold-tone nail clippers ($18) to a tongue-printed shopping tote ($75).

The pop-in shop will be available at six Nordstrom locations, including Dallas’ NorthPark Center store (other out-of-state venues include downtown Seattle, Bellevue Square, San Francisco Centre, Tyson’s Corner Center and Michigan Avenue) through Sunday, February 7. The full shop is also available online.
