Uchi Sushi Now Open • Eddie Borgo Collab with Target • Cara Santana Launches The Glam App

Austin-based Japanese restaurant Uchi opened June 1 at 2817 Maple Avenue. Exec chef Tyson Cole serves up sushi, sashimi, makimono and unique plates including gyutoro (72-hour short rib) and oak-grilled escolar. Stay tuned for more coverage online and in our July issue … After a relocation within Highland Park Village, floral haven Avant Garden has opened above the Robert Talbott boutique at 85 ½ Highland Park Village. Todd Fiscus’ signature style remains, but the new space is airy and chic with more wall space and an outdoor area for larger pieces.

As ardent admirers of the baguette, we can hardly contain our excitement over Fendi’s news. Stay tuned for updates about their newest boutique, coming soon to Dallas … Unit, a skin studio focusing on cosmetic dermatology, opens this summer in Preston Hollow Village. Founded by Dallas entrepreneur Lindsey Pineyro, the studio offers an elevated spa experience with minimally invasive treatments, acne services and skin rejuvenation.

Right on Target
Jewelry designer Eddie Borgo is Target’s next big designer collab! Launching Sunday, July 12, the Eddie Borgo for Target collection includes customizable jewelry, accessories and wall art priced $8 to $50. Putting an edge on the 1960s and 1970s craft culture, Borgo created necklaces, earrings and bracelets with geometric shapes and symbols reminiscent of sculpture and architecture, true to his core aesthetic.

Get Glam
Blogger/actress Cara Santana and L.A. hairstylist and makeup guru Joey Maalouf recently released their on-demand beauty app, The Glam App, celebrating with a fête at a private Dallas residence in May. The app delivers beauty experts straight to your front door, from blowouts to mani/pedis.
