Dallas’ Most Interesting Houses
Architect Marvels Highlighted in New Home Tour
By Rebecca Sherman //
Curated by local architects, this year’s lineup for the AIA Dallas Tour of Homes focuses on the work of seven of the city’s most exciting firms: Shipley Architects, David Benners Architecture, Todd Hamilton Architect, SHM Architects, NIMMO, Est. 11 Architecture and Marc McCollom Architect. Houses are peppered across the city, from the Cedars south of downtown to Greenway Parks’ conservation district, old Preston Hollow, Midway Hollow near Marsh and Walnut Hill lanes, Urban Reserve in east Dallas and White Rock Lake.
There are myriad reasons to take the tour: It’s the ideal way to find the architect for your next abode, test-drive a new neighborhood or snag ideas and sources for top-tier finishes, appliances, lighting and landscaping. Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, 10 am to 5 pm; tickets from $10. Premiere Party: Thursday, November 12, 6:30 pm; tickets $100 (one tour pass included).
