The PaperCity x BSH October Issue Launch Party brought a roaring evening of sophisticated celebration with Houston interior designers, magazine mavens, real estate developers, fashionistas and design cognoscenti alike.

Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Randy Allison welcomed everyone with his smooth notes as they entered BSH’s exceptional Post Oak showroom. Whispers and chatter of admiration were heard over the latest PaperCity October issue, as attendees flipped through the pages of the magazines laid throughout the showroom.

One of the 2026 Houston PaperCity Design Awards winners was even in attendance. That’d be Lindsey Herod, winner of the Singular Space Children’s Room category, also featured in the October PaperCity print issue.

Representing PaperCity as one of the evening’s hosts was marketing and events manager Dani Kattan, who shared her admiration for Houston’s flourishing design community.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this year’s PaperCity Houston Design Awards winners and the incredible talent that continues to define Houston’s design community,” Kattan says. “The creativity and breadth of work coming out of this city is truly remarkable. And we’re proud to recognize the designers and firms pushing Houston design forward.”

Serving savory and sweet bites throughout the evening was BSH head chef Kaitlin Steets. The handcrafted hors d’oeuvres, included eggplant caponata tarts with whipped goat cheese and pine nuts, and compressed melon with feta, mint and lime. Mini crab cakes with tarragon aioli, circled the room, leaving many in tasteful awe.

Steets herself was stationed in one of the BSH showroom kitchens, serving duck confit flatbreads topped with caramelized shallots, Gruyère and thyme.

A room full of delighted partygoers gathered around a tasteful assortment of cheeses, jams, jellies, dried fruits, fresh fruits, nuts, crackers and meats — stationed artfully in the shape of a rose. Charcuterie boards, arranged by the fabulous Bountiful Boards, had many flocking for seconds (and even thirds).

Speaking of charcuterie boards, everyone left with the ultimate goodie: a custom engraved Gaggenau board, courtesy of the BSH showroom.

The crafty women of She Made It Like That were on-site to engrave boards for guests, who excitedly placed orders to customize their boards with their choice of a nickname, joke, punch line, or whatever else their hearts desired. A stationary ode to a celebration worth remembering.
