The Most Amazing Carpets Ever?

Stunning Colors — and Historic Backstory — Set Them Apart

Dusky and richly hued, a new collection of small carpets has emerged from a collaboration between two Houston strongholds of design. Found and Carol Piper Rugs have produced stunning carpets in grayed hues of violet, beryl, mouse fur, moss, brine and ash, edged and bound in contrasting vermillion, amethyst and aquamarine.

The amazing color can’t be emphasized enough — it’s at the heart of the luscious carpets. Each is woven by hand in Nepal in silk pile and constructed using a traditional Tibetan-style of weaving originally brought to Nepal by Tibetan refugees fleeing Chinese persecution. The lush texture is paradoxically strong and hard-wearing to serve daily household use at the sink, bedside, or powder room.

Each carpet is 24 x 36 inches, in stock, $965, exclusively at Found, beginning in October.
