Dallas’ Long Awaited Virgin Hotel Sets Opening Date, Reveals Showy New Details

Dallas’ long anticipated new Virgin Hotel will open in the Design District on December 15. The new tower at 1445 Turtle Creek Boulevard will feature 268 rooms, two penthouse suites, multiple restaurants and bars, and a rooftop pool.

Each guest room is designed to consist of two spaces separated by a sliding door. The Dressing Room combines the hallway and dressing area with a full vanity, makeup desk, extra large shower with a bench, and a closet for two. The Lounge area will have the Virgin brand’s patented ergonomically designed lounge bed, a red SMEG mini-fridge, HDTV, yoga mat, and a plush red sofa.

The hotel is being developed in partnership with Marrying Millions’ Bill Hutchinson of Dunhill Partners and operated by Richard Branson‘s Virgin Hotels. Billionaire Branson famously rode in on a white horse for the hotel’s showy groundbreaking back in October of 2016.

Dallas’ new Virgin Hotel has been teased since 2015 — and the wait is now almost over.

The interiors of the new hotel were designed by Dallas-based SWOON, the studio and Joel Mozersky Design. The architecture firm responsible for the building’s unique design is 5G Studios.

As for dining, Virgin Hotel will include a main entrance restaurant, a pool club and a coffee shop. The Commons Club is designed to feel like a “members only” club, but it will be open to everyone. There will be a curated entertainment and music program as well.

On the fourth floor, The Pool Club will serve light bites and cocktails. And Funny Library Coffee Shop will be located on the first floor and feature a communal work space, Hugh Jackman’s Laughing Man Coffee, and funny books and games.

In addition, the hotel will feature a 24-hour state-of-the-art fitness center and more than 7,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. And pet amenities such as dog beds and a Virgin Hotels bandana will be available for all furry friends. Every room will also be equipped with a street-priced mini-bar (no $8 Coke cans!), free Wi-Fi, and zero resort or amenity fees as part of Virgin Hotel’s “No Nickel and Diming” policy.

Virgin’s new Dallas location boosts its rapidly growing roster of hotels, which includes Virgin Hotels Chicago and Virgin Hotels San Francisco. Ground has been broken as well on new Virgin Hotels in New York, Nashville, New Orleans and Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Palm Springs and Silicon Valley Virgin Hotels are also in the works.

As for Dallas, the hotel is now accepting reservations for stays starting December 15. If you’ve got family coming in town for the holidays, this might be the place to show them how classy the city can be.
