New Hippie Restaurant Shakes Up the Dallas Food Scene
Are You Ready to Go Boho?
By Samantha Klaassen //
Peace, love, and healthy eating … Dallas is going full hippie next month with the opening of Flower Child restaurant at Inwood Village.
The fast-casual eatery, which has locations in Arizona, California and Austin, is a concept from restaurateur Sam Fox, who founded True Food Kitchen. His goal is to revolutionize the way we eat out, using inspired flavors, rich nutrients, and providing quick prep time — all within a super-cool, modern boho environment.
What to expect from Flower Child’s menu: organic, gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan items for lunch and dinner. Highlights include the Mother Earth bowl (ancient grains, greens, sweet potato, portobello mushroom, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto, red-pepper miso vinaigrette, hemp seed) and the Flying Avocado, a whole-grain pita wrap stuffed with smoked turkey, gouda, romaine, tomato, and avocado hummus.

The menu is mix-and-match style, meaning you can choose from seasonal veggies, fruits, and grains to add to your meal. Flower Child also offers seasonal flavors of ice tea and lemonade, plus gluten-free desserts.
Bonus: The restaurant is a yogi’s dream with designated yoga mat parking — a space to rest your mat while you enjoy a nutritious meal.
Flower Child, 5450 W. Lovers Lane, Suite 133, 214.231.5367.
