Texas’ best in barbecue will be on full display at Texas Monthly‘s inaugural Meat Up event at Silver Street Studios. The barbecue soiree coincides with the magazine’s highly anticipated June Issue that features The 50 Best Barbecue Joints in Texas rankings that come out only once every four years.
Brace yourself for a bevy of meat-inspired dishes cultivated by some of the regions best pitmasters and chefs including Ronnie Killen and Manny Torres (Killen’s Barbecue, Pearland), Will Buckman (CorkScrew BBQ, Spring), Jordan Jackson (Bodacious Bar-BQ, Longview), Arnis Robbins (Evie Mae’s Pit Barbecue, Lubbock), Leonard Botello IV (Truth Barbeque, Brenham), Yunan Yang (Pepper Twins, Houston), Ken Bridge and Felix Florez (Ritual, Houston), Tatsu Aikawa and Takuya “Tako” Matsumoto (Ramen Tatsu-Ya, Austin/Houston), Lyle Bento (Southern Goods, Houston), and Rebecca Masson (Fluff Bake Bar, Houston).
Guests will also enjoy a variety of beer, hand-crafted cocktails, and live music courtesy the Gibson Stage.
