Beloved Chicago Breakfast Chain Adds a New Texas Location

Inventive Morning Dishes Await

By Addison Anthony //

Yolk has cracked open another Dallas-Fort Worth location. In addition to its Dallas Arts District and Fort Worth incarnations, the beloved Chicago-based breakfast chain now has a third eatery in Preston Center.

The 4,600-square-foot space greets hungry visitors with splashes of bright yellow and blue, the restaurant’s signature wake-up call. Every creative recipe it’s known for is available — those with a sweet tooth will swoon over the red velvet French toast with cream-cheese swirls, while ambitious eaters can try to take on the Yacht Club sandwich, a triple-decker stuffed with turkey, ham, bacon, avocado, tomato, and more.

There’s also inventive plates like the pot roast benedict, bacon waffle, smoked salmon scrambler, Nutella crepes, breakfast quinoa bowl, and citrus blast salad. Bonus: Like all of its other locations, Yolk’s newest installation is BYOB, so feel free to mix your own Bloody Mary to accompany your benedict.

Yolk is the brainchild of founder Taki Kastanis, who envisioned it as an answer to a calling in the industry for upscale but affordable breakfast and lunch cuisine in a metropolitan setting.

Serving specialty juices and fresh coffee beverages, Yolk opens at 6 am weekdays and 7 am on weekends — perfect for a jolt of java and very satisfying first meal of the day.

Yolk, 8315 Westchester Dr., 469.351.0344.
