The Dallas restaurant scene is always changing. From highly anticipated newcomers to beloved spots bidding farewell to must-attend foodie events, there’s always something happening across the city. A Design-Forward Specialty Coffee Shop Opens at Snider Plaza

Just opened next to the new Mexican restaurant, Sueño, at 6600 Snider Plaza, Suite 110, Kilo is a new coffee shop co-founded by Alex Vu, whose family runs a Vietnamese restaurant in Bedford — V’s House. The modern space features a slow bar and precision equipment (hence the name, Kilo). There are also tons of different spaces to sit in, including The Atrium, which boasts natural light and a live tree. Signature drinks will include coffee and matcha creations like a Cola coffee & lime zest concoction, Avocado Cream .010, and Yuzu Berry .007. But it’s the slow bar where things get really technical. Nine offerings start at $11 and go up to $50 for a pour-over. For us coffee connoisseurs, this is exciting stuff.

CocoAndré Chocolatier Reopens In a New Home After Closing Three Years Ago

In 2023, Dallas chocolate shop CocoAndre closed its Bishop Arts storefront after 15 years in its iconic house. Mother and daughter owners Andrea Pedraza and Cindy Pedraza noted at the time that they planned to reopen somewhere else. Finally, the favorite spot has reopened at 423 Centre Street in Oak Cliff. Current hours are Friday from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Just in time for spooky season! We can’t wait to return and pick up a Boo Chocolate Lollipop and chocolate sugar skull for Día de los Muertos.

From the Owners of Goodwins and Alamo Club, A New Mediterranean Restaurant Debuts This Fall

The next highly anticipated restaurant from the team behind Goodwins and Alamo Club, Jeff Bekavac and Austin Rodgers, finally has an expected opening date. According to a Dallas Observer article, Corsaire will debut in the former Pizzeria Testa space at 3225 Greenville Avenue this October. The new spot will serve a Mediterranean menu with influences from Spain, North Africa, France, and beyond. Foxcroft Studio designed the 9,000-square-foot space, whose work includes Goodwins, Hudson House, and more top local restaurants.

Monarch To Host An Immersive Walk-Around Wine Tasting This Weekend

On September 12, this wood-fired Italian restaurant on the 49th floor of The National in Downtown Dallas is hosting a new wine experience called Taste the List. From 2:30 pm to 5 pm, guests will move through eight tasting stations, meeting wine representatives, distributors, and industry experts while learning all there is to know about the wines. It’ll be led by National Director of Wine Amy Mundwiler and Head Sommelier Andrew Bentz. Tickets cost $125 per person and can be purchased here.
