PC Moment: Two Homemade Hope students, Nehemiah and Josiah, and Southside Community Center youth director Lynn Stevenson shared opening remarks and dinner blessings on the evening chaired by Liz Coleman and Adam Greer.
Kudos to honorees Marcia and Brig Smart, she a food writer and cooking instructor behind Smart in the Kitchen and the Farm Girls Supper Club, both serving on various boards of nonprofits aiding those in need.
The evening raised more than $170,000 for the young nonprofit that provides weekly hands-on cooking classes to children in shelters throughout Houston. As emcee, KHOU Channel 11 newswoman Lily Jang kept the program moving.
