What: Camp For All Believe In Magic Gala.
Where: Bayou City Event Center.
Who: Chairs Bonnie Kelley Dienna and Susan Martin; honorees Joseph H. Blount Jr. and Joanna and Brad Marks; keynote speaker (and camper) Owen Gafford, who spoke movingly about his positive experience with CFA, where he is not defined by his illness; president and CEO of Camp For All Pat Sorrells; Kelty and Rogers Crain, Hannah McNair, Paula and Rusty Walters, Jayne Finkowski-Rivera and Carlos Rivera, Martha and Buzz White, and Marilyn and Louis Mogas.
PC Moment: $900,000 was raised for the camp geared toward children and adults with challenging illnesses and special needs (more than 10,000 campers attend the camp every year). The vivid ballroom setting was perfect for the spirited night, which included a puppy for auction, a pop-up gallery curated by Laura Rathe, and a performance from famed mentalist and magician Gerard Senehi. Update: Due to an anonymous donation received after the night, the total amount raised by the gala exceeds a staggering $1 million!
