Houston Best Dressed Hall of Famers Take Centerstage as the Anticipation Builds For the PaperCity Luncheon

Throw a midday schmooze for Houston Best Dressed Hall of Fame honorees and the tableau is certain to be awash in stylish designer fashions. And it certainly was when Neiman Marcus pulled out the stops for a midday fête promoting the soon-to-be-here PaperCity Philanthropy in Fashion Houston Best Dressed luncheon, set for next Tuesday, September 15 at the swanky Post Oak Hotel.

Champagne flowed and air kisses swirled as Neiman’s honored  those who have graced the Houston Best Dressed ranks for three times and saluted the 2026 honorees, who will be presented at next week’s luncheon benefiting March of Dimes.

Think Oscar de la Renta, plenty of Chanel, the occasional Valentino, and Best Dressed luncheon chair Rosemary Schatzman rocking the scene in a fab, fitted dress from Louis Vuitton.

Galleria Neiman Marcus vice president and general manager Kathy Leigh and Neiman’s Houston brand experience manager Heather Almond hosted the fête that featured luncheon food from the department store’s Mariposa cafe, centerpieces from Lexis Florist, and informal modeling of designer pieces and amazing jewelry from Italian house Picchiotti.

While models paraded around in selections from Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Lela Rose, Lafayette 148 and Adam Lippes, they dazzled in the Picchiotti jewels, the brand noted for  noted for its Xpandable technology, which allows bracelets and rings to expand and contract up to two and a half sizes.

Rubies and diamonds and sapphires, oh my.

Key to the gathering were March of Dimes senior executive director Jen Torres and director of donor development Kemah Blair as well as  Rachel Regan, who heads the big board and raffle committee. Add Mario Gudmundsson, a client advisor in Neiman’s Precious Jewelry department.

The following night, Baccarat in River Oaks District hosted “Evening of Elegance” in support of March of Dimes and Schatzman. Champagne was served in Baccarat crystal flutes while attendees perused the exceptional crystal pieces on display. Ten percent of sales from the evening were contributed to the nonprofit.

Among the throng joining the Baccarat festivities were Donae Chromasta, Karina and Carlos Barbieri, Ellecia Knolle, Lauren Randle, Sara McEown, and the March of Dimes team along with Schatzman and Regan.

Houston Best Dressed Hall of Fame honorees attending the luncheon included Cynthia Allshouse, Lilly Andress, Melinda Berkman, Kristy Bradshaw, Isabel David, Gayla Gardner, Gina Gaston, Linda McReynolds, Roslyn Bazzelle Mitchell, Anita Smith, Phoebe Tudor, Merele Yarborough, Vicki West, and Phyllis Williams.
