Where: Winspear Opera House.

Who: Event chairs Ellen and Don Winspear; honorary chairs Micki and Mike Rawlings; First Night dinner chairs Anne and Steve Stodghill; fashion show chair Rhonda Sargent Chambers; advisory co-chairs Lynn McBee and Nicholas Even; event architect Jeffrey Horn; Dallas Opera corporate committee chairs Lynn and Presley Mock; committee members Carla and Eric Buether, Mark Flagg, Lance Hancock, James LaFontaine, Mark LaRoe, Don McDermett, Kim and Greg Miller, Marla Muns, and John Ward.

PC Moment: Despite a downpour outside, the tent adjacent to the Winspear Opera House sparkled brightly as more than 300 guests converged for the Dallas Opera’s First Night Gala. Upon arrival, the crowd enjoyed the fashions on display from British luxury brand Mulberry. Unveiled the day before at the First Sight Fashion Show and Luncheon, models in the opera-inspired gowns flanked the entryway. Patrons delighted in decadent fare and mingled at the pre-performance dinner before making their way into the opera house for the world premiere of Great Scott.
