PC Moment: New York Times best-selling author LeAnn Theiman, with 14 Chicken Soup for the Soul books under her talented belt, shared her story of participating in the Vietnam Orphan airlift and adopting one of the babies. She spoke also on the importance of physical, emotional and spiritual strength in order to face the challenges of every day life. Many among the 220 guests remained after the luncheon for a book signing with Theiman.
The luncheon, chaired by Jenny Kempner, Isabel Lummis and Sue White, raised more than $200,000 for the Houston Hospice Butterfly Program, recognized nationally as a leader in the advancement of pediatric hospice care.
