PC Moment: Fans of Grammy Award-winning record producer and singer Steve Tyrell savored not only dinner served by local celebs but also tunes from the popular Houston born and raised talent. As honoree he shared his vocal chords twice during the evening and when performing “The Way You Look Tonight” from Father of the Bride, he offered thanks to Steve Martin, who starred in the film.
Founding chairs of the evening that benefits ESCAPE Family Resource Center Joan Schnitzer Levy and Gerald Franklin were center front as the event raised more than $300,000. Serving as chair of the evening that saw close to 300 guests was dinner chair Kim Padgett.
Celebrity servers, assisting with everything from the raffle to the wine pull and auction, included leader of the pack Ernie Manouse plus Courtney Zubowski Hass, Cleverley Stone, Lara Bell, Todd Ramos, Johnny Bravo, Roseann Rogers, Andy Cerota, Robert Sakowitz, Michael Garfield, Shara Fryer, Michael Chabala, and Steve Johnson.
