Where: Klyde Warren Park
PC Moment: Members of Friends of the Park were treated to a day beneath the big top at Circus in the Park, a family fundraiser for Klyde Warren Park. Children of all ages enjoyed a family-friendly party with a live DJ and fun outdoor games. Kiddos had a blast getting their faces painted, making balloon animals with the balloon artist and tasting circus treats — the popcorn and cotton candy runneth over.
The biggest crowd pleaser? The live monkey, offering up smooches for $1. Who could pass up that kind of a deal? The party wrapped up with a dusk screening of The Greatest Showman.
Guests could bring their own picnic dinners to the movie or purchase food from one of Klyde Warren Park’s famous food trucks. Parents received complimentary beer and wine, while kids enjoyed complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. It was a one-stop shop for members to enjoy a movie night with their family. Becoming a Friend of the Park member provides funds to make the park sustainable for generations to come. (For more details on membership options go to the Klyde Warren Park’s website.)
