The swanky manse of Lindy and Brad Berkley set the scene for a fabulously chic patron party, kicking off the annual Under the Moonlight Gala. The glittery fete for the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas is set for Saturday, March 25 at the newly renovated Westin Dallas hotel.
Gala chairs Maggie Kipp and Heather Randall were joined by this year’s honorary co-chair, Dallas Cowboys’ legend Roger Staubach at the kickoff.
“We are so honored to be serving as the honorary chairs for such a wonderful event,” enthused Staubach of he and his wife, Marianne (who unfortunately had to miss the event due to a recent skiing accident.) “Let’s hear it for this year’s La La Gala” the iconic quarterback joked, alluding to the Oscars Best Picture mixup between La La Land and Moonlight.
After silence greeted his remark, Staubach stoked the fire with a “tough crowd!” causing revelers to burst out in laughter once the joke clicked. The evening proceeded with champagne sips, light bites and friendly banter as patrons toasted to a truly fantastic evening, gearing up for the main event later this month.
Mark your calendars as this month’s gala is an event not to miss. Bonus? The Spazmatics will be serving as the headlining entertainment so be sure to get those party shoes polished and keep your pocket protectors handy.
