What: Recipe for Success’ “Fashion in the Fields”

Where: Hope Farms, the seven-acre urban agricultural operation in Sunnyside

PC Moment: More than 300 fashionistas gathered for Recipe for Success’ inaugural “Fashion in the Fields” event that raised more than $200,000 to combat childhood obesity and to foster nutrition education. Fashions for both youngsters and adults were presented by Neiman Marcus with a mouthwatering southern buffet brunch served by Catering by Culinaire.

Grace Cavnar, founder and CEO of Recipe for Success, greeted guests along with event chairs and executive board members Stephanie Fleck and Melissa Sugulas and Houston’s KPRC 2- Houston Life anchor, Courtney Zavala, who served as emcee.

Cavnar was the first to quip that the overwhelming looks seen on the ladies in attendance was “farm girl cold weather chic.” Music, farm walkabouts, and shopping in Neiman’s pop-up capped off a day that included inauguration of the Robert and Janice McNair Children’s Garden which is used by Hope Farms to educate and inspire even the youngest of future foodies.

PC Seen: Courtney Culver Baker, Amanda Boffone, Julie Longoria Chen, Elizabeth Dwyer, Elaine Hixon, Lyndsey Zorich, Melissa Juneau, Neekie Kashani and Summer Smith; Bob Cavnar, Ally Shell, Bill Baldwin and Fady Armanious, Ginger Baldwin, Bevin Dubrowski, Kristin and Bobby Cavnar, plus Neiman Marcus’ Stacey Swift  and Roost Chef Kevin Naderi, honored as Recipe for Success’ Chef of the Year.
