Heroes and Handbags Come Together in River Oaks

What: Heroes for Children‘s Heroes & Handbags Silent Auction and Luncheon
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: Auction shopping through the collection of 150 designer handbags from labels including Saint Laurent, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Elaine Turner was every bargain hunter’s dream though the bags went high enough to help the non-profit raise more than $145,000.
The proceeds will enable Heroes for Children to provide financial and social assistance for 200 families of pediatric cancer patients.
In the fashionable spirit of the day, Donae Chramosta, aka The Vintage Contessa, was honored with The Spirit of Allie and Taylor Award. She was joined in the spotlight by keynote speaker Dr. ZoAnn Dreyer of Texas Children’s Hospital, who moved the gathering of more than 320 with testimonies of survivorship of those who once battled childhood cancer.
