What: Mayor’s Literacy Leadership Award Breakfast
Where: River Oaks Country Club
PC Moment: Key players in the goal of spreading the gospel of the written word, and the ability to read it, took bows at the early-morning fundraiser benefiting Houston Center for Literacy. The professional players of Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash and the front offices were honored for the organization’s efforts in community outreach. Chris Canetti, president of the Dynamo Organization, accepted the award on behalf of the teams.
Stephanie and Frank Tsuru not only chaired the bacon and eggs fundraiser they also were recognized as top donors, Leaders in Literacy, along with billionaires Susan and Fayez Sarofim and PJS of Houston.
