River Oaks Dinner Gives Houston’s True Community Leaders a Rare Spotlight Moment

PC Moment: In memory of the late, beloved Laura Lee Blanton, Sally and Bob Thomas were honored for their generous spirits and community leadership. “We are honored to join the list of past recipients,” Bob Thomas said, “and so pleased to be able to support the important mission and dignity of Houston Hospice for people in our community.” The couple was introduced to the gathering by long-term friend Harriet Foster, who showed her comedic side with tales of how she and her husband, Joe Foster, became friends with the Thomases.
Melanie Lawson, KTRK Channel 13 news anchor, served as emcee of the evening that raised more than $260,000 for the city’s oldest and largest independent hospice.
