Houston Lawyers Come Together at River Oaks Country Club to Help Low Income Clients

PC Moment: Legal eagles reached deep into their pockets for the evening that raised $725,250 to support pro bono legal services for low income Houstonians. Sponsored by the Houston Bar Association, Houston Bar Foundation and Houston Bar Association Auxiliary, the event supports Houston Volunteer Lawyers, a project of the HBA. Welcoming the 900-plus guests were HBA president Neil Kelly, foundation chair Denise Scofield, and auxiliary president Lisa Ganucheau. In the 17 years since the venerable holiday event became a fundraiser, more than $6.75 million has been raised for pro bono legal services.
