$1.8 Million Houston Night is a Fantasy Come to Life

PC Moment: Once ticket proceeds were counted, the Fund a Cure appeal completed and the amazing live auction closed, the night raised a whopping $1.8 million, yet another in a series of spring fundraisers leaving the simple million dollar mark in the dust. Applause, applause for gala chairs Charity and John Todd and honorees Linda and Bob Brown, who committed mightily to the bottom line.

More than 1,000 guests poured into the ballroom decorated in the spirit of Through the Looking Glass with characters from the book rambling through the black-tie contingent. Drew Dougherty, host of Texans TV, and Andrea Bishop served as emcees.

Once the fundraising and dinner were complete, high-energy band Skyrocket! took the stage and kept the scene hopping throughout the night, including during the Young Leadership Committee Gala After-Party. Late night casino games kept the party mood rolling.
