By Houston standards it was frigid outside, but all was warm and cheery inside Ting and John Bresnahan’s beautiful home on Thursday for a salon event from the Houston Symphony Young Associates Council. Over 60 sophisticates quaffed wine and sampled hors d’oeuvres while enjoying Neal Kurz on the piano performing the second and third (the famous “Turkish March”) movements from Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 11. Executive Director/CEO Mark Hanson and Chief of Artistic Planning Aurelie Desmarais shared symphony happenings, including Mozart’s The Abduction from the Seraglio concert, the upcoming announcement of the 2015-2016 season and details about the Houston Symphony Ball After Party (save the date for May 2).
