What: Houston Symphony Young Associates Council season launch party
Where: Laura Rathe Fine Art gallery
PC moment: Houston’s Gallery Row at Colquitt and Lake streets took on a decidedly young professional air when more than 70 young professionals landed for a night of musical inspiration. Chaired by Ann Ayre and Michelle Stair, the evening included a look into the upcoming season as well as a performance by two of the Houston Symphony’s community-embedded musicians, Rainel Joubert on violin and Dave Connor on double bass.
Insuring a light-hearted approach to the season, Ambhar Tequila provided a surprise tasting, something to wash down the party fare from 26 Daisies.
New members making the scene included J.J. Gonzalez, Blake Plaster, Michael Talbot and Katherine Thomasson, and the Houston Symphony’s principal timpanist, Leonardo Soto.
PC Seen: John Mangum, Jonathan Ayre, Carlos Sierra, Jenny Stearns, Valerie and Tracy Dieterich, Jay Fields, Quentin Smith, Kirby and David Lodholz, Kusum and Cody Patel, Genevera Allen and Michael Weylandt, Elaine and Jeff Hiller, Nicole Lide and Garreth DeVoe.
