HSPVA Hosts Mark Seliger for “Excellent” Luncheon

What: The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts ninth annual Encore for Excellence Luncheon.
Where: River Oaks Country Club.
Who: Chairs Gina Fish and George Lancaster; honoree/author/photographer/distinguished alum Mark Seliger; Cheryl and Bob Boblitt, June Christensen, Dean Gladden, Jim Nelson, Barry Mandel, and Minnette and Peter Boesel.
PC Moment: Seliger — world-famous for his iconic portraits of notables such as Keith Richards, David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Ferrell, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks and John Malkovich — was honored in front of 400 supporters of HSPVA, who raised for $200,000 for HSPVA Friends, a group that supports the school’s budding young artists (and the institution itself).
