What: Cocktails a for a Cause, a Pride month celebration
Where: Michael Kors in The Galleria
PC Moment: It was all about fashion and philanthropy when Volume Social Club co-owner Sergio Morales and Michael Kors Houston store manager Deborah Cousler teamed up as hosts of Cocktails for a Cause, an evening benefiting the Montrose Center. More than 100 guests gathered for the early summer fête featuring Michael Kors summer looks. A portion of the evening’s sales were earmarked for the center that supports lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) individuals and their families.
“I’m very excited to partner with Deborah and Michael Kors for a fun evening that brings meaning to the month by recognizing the invaluable contributions The Montrose Center provides the LBGTQ community,” Morales says. “Our team loves calling Montrose home and when we have the opportunity to support our neighbors and celebrate fashion, friends and freedom, you can always count us in.”
Morales and Xandro Canales are co-owners of the salon on Westheimer where they provide full salon services for both men and women.
The evening featured models dressed to the nines in Michael Kors and coifs done by Volume Social Club’s Alexis Joubert and Gabby Saenz. Rather than a formal fashion presentation, the models mixed and mingled with partygoers.

Completing the party scene were specialty cocktails from mixologists Adonis (Graham) & Bronson (Gutierez) of the A&B Effect, summer florals from DeMartino Design Group and music from DJ M. Nae — all setting the summer vacation vibe.
