What: Charity luncheon for the ladies in a swank River Oaks Shopping Center boutique

Where: Atrium Ready to Wear and Casa de Novia Bridal Couture

PC Moment: Store founder Luvi Wheelock welcomed 22 of her chicest friends for a luncheon benefiting Fabretto Children’s Foundation, aiding underserved families in Nicaragua. The cause is so close to the fashion professional that she and her husband, Carlos Wheelock, hosted the charity’s gala last year.

While they might not have been in the market for wedding dresses, the ladies could not help but swoon over the beautiful gowns by Oscar de la Renta, Monique Lhuillier and more. Serious shopping ensued as they perused the RTW designs by Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Jill Stewart and the like.

Chef David Cordúa of upstairs neighbor Americas River Oaks whipped up the midday repast while Taylor DeMartino of LIVE! Event Design created the tablescape.

Who: Courtney Hopson, Estela Cockrell, Valerie Fuller, Christina Stith, Becca Cason Thrash, Margie Vermillion, Katherine Phelps, Monica Bickers, Sannam Warrender, Kate Stukenberg, Melissa Mithoff, Meredith Chastang, Laura Robertson and Katy Nelson.
