Where: The Marriott Marquis Hotel
PC Moment: More than 600 guests poured into the Texas Ballroom to celebrate the 23rd annual edition of the compendium of special events. Headliners were the 2018 Houston Treasures honorees — David Adickes, Frank Billingsley, Marie Bosarge, Gayla Gardner, Carmen and Butch Mach, Dr. Davi Poplack, Rachel Regan, Cyndy Garza Roberts, Susan Sarofim, Virginia Steppe, Marcy Taub Wessel and Kitch Taub, and Leticia and Steve Trauber. The honorees, featured monthly in the Social Book, were introduced by Houston Treasures founder Warner Roberts.
It was quite the extravaganza with Texas themed decor, 11 food and dessert stations from various vendors, bounteous adult beverages, music by Richard Brown and more, all orchestrated by the popular Paul-David Van Atta.
Taking bows for the smashing party were Social Book owners Scott Evans, Jeff Henry and Sami Shbeeb. Holding court as sponsors of the VIP private reception were Nancy and Jose Almodovar of Nan & Co. Properties.
