What: Houston Antiques + Art + Design Show
Where: Silver Street Studios
PC Moment: The vast event space was transformed into a charming village of shops as more than 40 dealers, some from as far as Orange, California, and others as nearby as Tenenbaum Jewelers, created fetching displays of their various offerings. From embroidered linens to fine jewelry, from 19th century lamps to old world paintings, the shopping possibilities were innumerable. Vintage coins, cut glass decanters, diamond earrings, and everything imaginable in sterling silver — the window shopping alone was worth the cost of admission. There to welcome guests are the affable show organizer Rosemary Krieger, president of Dolphin Promotions and her major domos Charlie Walter and Gordon Merkle, each ready to offer antique show insights. (The event runs through Sunday.)
Who: Minnette and Peter Boesel, Dr. Steve Hamilton and Tom LeCloux, Silvia Salle, Jonathan Glus and Alton LaDay, Margie Wedemeyer, Deborah and Claude Wynn, Howard Price, Jason Robinson, Dixie and Ron Messner, Jenna McPhail, Dennis Brackeen, Madeleine Hamm and David Grogan.
