PC Moment: After cocktails and exhibition viewing at the gallery, the art-savvy crowd adjourned to collectors Kellie and Jeff Hepper‘s Memorial mansion, where French antiques cozy up to cutting-edge contemporary including works by Alex Katz, Doanld Moffett, John Wesley, Yayoi Kusama, and the aforementioned headliner, Gary Lang.
Who: Founder Robert McClain; gallerists Erin Dorn, Sharon Graham, and Anna Farrow; featured artists painter of epic mandala-like abstractions Gary Lang, in from California, and Texas-based collaborators of witty sight + sound machines Jeff Shore and Jon Fisher; the art elite including MFAH curator Alison de Lima Greene, Houston Airport System’s Tommy Gregory, and Dennis Nance with the Galveston Arts Center; top collectors Jereann Chaney, Minnette Robinson, Dorene and Frank Herzog, and Brad Bucher; and design-minded Michael Landrum, Pepper Paratore, and Garrett Hunter.
