Texas’ Ultimate Whiskey Affair is Taking Place in Houston
30 Different Drinks On Tap
By Jailyn Marcel //
Whiskey takes center stage at Texas Monthly‘s first-ever Whiskey Affair this month at Silver Street Studios. The event showcases 30 different whiskeys ranging from bourbon to scotch and single-malt Irish.
Pours come courtesy brands such as Jameson, Reilly’s Ginger Rock & Rye, Maker’s 46 Bourbon whiskey, Texas Ranger Whiskey, Rebel Yell, Tincup whiskey, Bushmills Black, Glenlivet, Garrison Brothers, Knob Creek, Canadian Club, Lot 40, Laphroaig, Mitcher’s US, Sixth Street, Redbreast, Aberlour, and more. Whiskey-centric cocktails are shaken and stirred by whiskey connoisseurs Alba Huerta (Julep) and Mike Raymond (Reserve 101).
Accompanying the libations are local food pairings created by chefs Peter Petro (Bosscat Kitchen & Libations), Robert del Grande (Café Annie), Ryan Pera (Eight Row Flint), Rebecca Masson (Fluff Bake Bar), and Kiran Verma (Kiran’s).
