What: Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular benefitting Texas Rangers Foundation
Where: Trinity Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole Dallas
PC Moment: It was a Texas Rangers fan’s dream at the 15th Annual Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular. In addition to the entirety of the Rangers roster, special guests such as Fox Sports Southwest anchor John Rhadigan, Fox Sports Networks sideline reporter Emily Jones, and former players Ivan Rodriguez, Pete O’Brien, and Jose Guzman were all in attendance.
The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation provides funding to support North Texas youth in crisis, health initiatives, education, and more. And to support the cause, was a multi-faceted (and riotously fun) soiree, complete with dinner, a chance to snag an autograph from the players, and of course, the Game Show Spectacular, during which fans and players squared off in a high-stakes game of heads or tails. Rangers third-baseman Adrian Beltre won the game — but donated his prize back to the live auction. About that bidding: the auction raised many paddles for coveted packages, including must-have trips to Cooperstown, Napa Valley and Chicago.
All the fun and games paid off: Once all funds had been tallied, nearly $1 million was raised for the foundation.
Playing Ball: Texas Rangers Foundation executive director Karin Morris; and Texas Rangers’ reliever Jake Diekman, general manager Jon Daniels, and broadcaster Eric Nadel; plus Park Place Lexus Grapevine general manager Matt Woolsey.
