What: Prada Preview Party in support of the Houston Ballet Ball
Where: Prada boutique at Saks Fifth Avenue
PC Moment: A new month brings a new season and new fashion. Houston Ballet trustees, supporters, and Prada fans alike were welcomed to a festive personal shopping experience, hosted by ballet ball co-chairs Kelley Lubanko and Leigh Smith. More than 50 guests browsed stunning accessory pieces from the renowned brand’s classic handbags to dazzling jewelry.
Champagne corks popped and bubbly flowed as guests mixed, mingled and rubbed elbows with Houston’s talented and elite ballet stars. To cap off the evening, a portion of Prada’s handbag and accessory sales went toward the benefit of the ballet ball.
The black tie gala takes place on Saturday, February 9, at the Houston Ballet Center for Dance. The evening will honor Leticia Loya and ConocoPhillips for their continued generosity and longstanding commitment to the ballet. The ball theme “Heroes, Gods, and Stars,” focusing on the ethereal world of contemporary Grecian splendor, will echo the esthetics of Sylvia, a world premiere by Houston Ballet artistic director Stanton Welch.
Who: Jo and Jim Furr, Princess Maria-Anna Galitzine, Leticia Loya, Kelley Lubanko, Duyen Nguyen, Leigh Smith, Tatiana Sorkin, Beth Muecke, Tatiana Galitzine Sierra and dancers Soo Youn Cho, Caleb Durbin, and Carlos Quenedit.
