PC Moment: While the dessert of homemade chocolate chip cookies, whipped up by Ronald McDonald House volunteers, had the 550 guests swooning, the words of guest speaker Staman Ogilvie emphasizing the importance of patient- and family-centered care resonated with RMH supporters. He also applauded RMH volunteers, more than 450 who serve in four locations in the Texas Medical Center.
The luncheon honored RMH corporate volunteer partners: McDonald’s Owner/Operators of Greater Houston received the Spirit of Hope Award, Derrick Equipment Company earned the Corporate Group Volunteer Award and Mustard Seed Outreach received the Service Group Volunteer Award.
Dan Connally and Dana O’Brien chaired the luncheon that brought in more than $375,000 for RMH, the home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated in the Texas Medical Center.
