What: The Three Musketeers Centerstage Dinner
Where: The Alley Theatre
PC Moment: What fun when following the premiere of the Alley’s swashbuckling romp, VIP guests mixed it up with cast members, who were still in their 17th century costumes. Swords, however, were not at play.
Instead, D’Artagnan and his musketeer brethren helped themselves to champagne as the appreciative audience members toasted the performance.
Prior to the curtain going up, the 170-plus VIPs sat for a dinner from A Fare Extraordinaire and heard from Alley managing director Dean Gladden and board president Butch Mach, who congratulated outgoing interim artistic director James Black on his remarkable season. Joining in the program was The Three Musketeers director Mark Shanahan, longtime friend of Black and fan of the Alley.
The play runs in the Hubbard Theatre of the Alley through June 30.
The partying cast: Dylan Godwin, Shawn Hamilton, Stanley Andrew Jackson III, David Mantranga, Melissa Pritchett, David Rainy, Jay Sullivan, Todd Waite, Seth Andrew Bridges, McKenna Marmolejo, Victoria Valentine, Julia Krohn, Troy Beckman, and Justin Gibbons, plus costume designer Alejo Vietti.
PC Seen: Show sponsors Mady and Ken Kades, Carol and Mike Linn, Carmen and Butch Mach, and Heidi and Doug Shanda; plus new artistic director Rob Melrose, Lynn Wyatt, Susana Brener de Stern and Dr. Juan Stern, Carroll Robertson Ray and Hugh Ray, Connie and Roger Plank, Kathryn Ketelsen, Brandon Weinbrenner, Jane Gladden, Patty Hubbard, Linda and Mark Smith, Michelle Collins and Craig Moffatt.
