Who: Co-chairs Ashley McClellan (The Woman’s Hospital of Texas’s new CEO) and anchor lady Gina Gaston Elie; style guru Rebecca Matthews, who charmed the luncheon crowd with wardrobe tips and a fall trend forecast; “Houston’s fashion guy” Todd Ramos, producer of a fab runway show of autumnal threads; keynote speaker Lisa Garcia, mom of triplets born prematurely at The Woman’s Hospital, who shared her moving story of the docs and nurses at the hospital’s NICU Family Support Program; and guests Darcy Wilson (mom of CEO McClellan), Andrea Bonner, Jana Phillips, Ruchi Mukerjee with mom Kaberi Mukerjee (in from India), Paula Fyhr chatting with Kelli Cohen Fein, Ting Bradshaw, Rachel Regan, Ericka Bagwell, Ursaline Hamilton, and Laura Davenport.
PC Moment: More than 500 fashionable philanthropic women dished and dined at the Pop art–themed The Woman’s Hospital of Texas Annual Labor Day Luncheon, supporting The March of Dimes; Woman’s Hospital underwrote the day so that all proceeds went to the cause. The Boutique Bazaar opened early in the day for a chance to shop looks from 26 local boutiques including BB1 Classic, Tres Chic, French Cuff and Pomp & Circumstance. Matthews’ style seminar was headlined by Ramos’ dramatic catwalk choreography including Page Parkes models in fur and fringe, shining a spotlight on designs from BB1 Classic, Chloe Dao, Woody’s Furs and Lucho.
