What: Christie’s International Real Estate + Ulterre Dallas Launch Party
Where: Ulterre’s new Dallas office in Uptown
PC Moment: This was not your typical office party — but Ulterre is certainly not your typical real estate firm, either. The licensed Christie’s International Real Estate affiliate for all of North Texas celebrated its Dallas office opening with a stylish shindig that drew guests from Fort Worth, Palm Beach, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles and beyond.
The most fashionable attendees, however, flew in from New York City specifically for the party, along with an entourage of security and attendants. The 20 of them looked as divine together as they each did on their own, in an array of vibrant colors, classic neutrals, and a couple of vintage looks. Unfortunately, the group mostly kept to themselves — behind a wall of glass.
Birkins can be a bit anti-social that way. Not to single out the Birkins (Constance and Kelly were just as cliquey) but we did hear that a few of them went home with some new friends at the end of the evening and decided not to go back to New York at all.
They weren’t the only guests that had a good time. When renovating the charming Fairmount Street space to become Ulterre’s Dallas headquarters, the team made work and play equal priorities, ensuring an end result as ideal for office-ing is it is entertaining. The overall residential feel — complete with a sizable, twinkle-lit backyard — allowed partygoers to feel right at home as they enjoyed a spread by Ford’s Kitchen and sipped cocktails mixed with Frankly Organic Vodka.
Between the wall of Hermès handbags (and the expertise of Caitlin Donovan, vice president, head of sale, handbags & accessories, in from New York), the fine art auction being broadcast on the TV screens, and the amount of real estate firepower in the room ($500 billion in total transactions over the last five years) the Christie’s affiliation delivered an impact at every turn, including the final one out the door, where gift bags were filled with custom scented candles for guests to take home.
