Houston and Dallas’ Ultimate Social Calendar is at Your Fingertips — and It’s 100 Percent Free
By Shelby Hodge //
As we head into the new year and as event planning for late spring and beyond moves into high gear in both Houston and Dallas, we would like to suggest that, before choosing a date for your next charity bash, you first check out the online PaperCity Social Calendar. Of course, you can put your finger on everything there is to know at the moment on the social calendar in our January print issues. But the beauty of the online calendar is that it’s updated regularly, individuals can add their own fancy fundraising events, and it’s free.
Click on the small calendar icon in the upper right hand corner of this page to discover the multitude of upcoming social events.
In January in Houston, you’ll find that the Best Dressed announcement at Neiman Marcus on January 25, Houston Grand Opera’s Concert of Arias on January 27 and the Moores School of Music Gala, on January 28. That same night in Dallas, The Birthday Party Project, honoring Dallas/Houston party planner Todd Fiscus, celebrates five years at The Bomb Factory while on February 27 the Dallas Symphony of Chefs takes over Union Station.
We’re betting that all of those Houstonians who planned their events for the ridiculously popular Friday night of April 7 are wishing they had taken a look before scheduling. That lucky seven evening is already booked with six major fundraisers— the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston Gala, the Blue Bird Circle Gala, the Arboretum Al Fresco Gala, the Houston Area Women’s Center 40th anniversary celebration, the Partnership for Baylor College of Medicine Soirée, and the Devereaux Texas Gala. Whew!
While we haven’t begun populating the calendar for next fall, you certainly can. Organizers of events in September and beyond are welcome to add their submissions. And it’s free!
