Stars, VIP Dogs, Whiskey Blackjack and Hamilton Tickets
This No-Kill Gala Has It All
By Kelly Schafler //
A delightful, fur-filled evening is guaranteed at Written in the Stars, a gala benefitting Houston’s no-kill animal shelter Friends for Life.
Proceeds from the gala will go toward finding forever homes for animals considered “unadoptable,” providing free spay and neutering in low-income areas, and distributing supplies and resources to pet owners.
To raise money for our four-legged friends: a live auction for two Reverso polo watches, donated by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Zadok Jewelers. There will also be the opportunity to bid on two tickets to see the Broadway sensation Hamilton and attend a dinner with the cast.
Attendees can cuddle a few VIP Fido’s, and enjoy dinner prepared by Chef David Cordua; for fun, play whiskey blackjack and cornhole.
This PaperCity-sponsored gala will take place under the stars on the lawn of the Houston Polo Club –– make sure to wear grass-friendly heels.
