Subversive holiday anyone? For the most fun you’ll have all weekend for $25 (or spring for $40 and be a real VIP) head to the Heights for a little underground theater. I’ve personally been waiting a whole year to see Houston playwright/actress Abby Koenig’s “The Jew Who Loves Christmas.”
And it’s the centerpiece of a wild, free-form night toasting the season, wrapped into a benefit for one of our town’s most acclaimed theater troupe’s, Horse Head Theatre. Be there 7 to 10:30 pm (30 minute performance at 8 pm) at Obsidian Art Space, 3522 White Oak Drive for Horse Head Holiday Huzzah’s benefit. Tickets/deets here. One word of warning: It’s Lights in the Heights so get to the Heights early to partake of this mirthful night, and do don Noel-worthy attire.
