Las Vegas Comes to Houston for One Special Night
Rolling the Dice with a Showman and the Symphony
By Errin Maye //
Join the Houston Symphony as it celebrates the annual symphony ball, this year chaired by Houston Symphony executive director and CEO Mark Hanson and his wife, Christina.
Headlining the brigade of chairs, which will make this a special evening, are honorary chair Marie Taylor Bosarge, auction chairs Beth Wolff and Farida Abjani, entertainment chairs Danielle and Joshua Batchelor, and after party chairs for feisty young professionals Candace and Brian Thomas.
In a twist on tradition, classical music takes a backseat to Vegas-inspired fun with the “Stir It Up in Vegas” theme and the musical talents of Las Vegas showman Frankie Moreno and his band.
The evening will honor a number of the symphony’s most generous donors in a variety of categories including Jane and Bob Cizi, Janice H. Barrow, Barbara and Pat McCelvey and their family, Barbara J. Burger, Muffy and Mike McLanahan, Vinson & Elkins, LLP, Margaret Alkek Williams, with special honors for Richard Flowers and The Events Company.
