Spooky Season Is Here — These Are the Best Halloween Festivities to Celebrate in Dallas

From dog-friendly brunches to elaborate costume parties, these are the best Halloween events to go to (costume optional) in Dallas.

On October 30, Canvas Hotel is hosting a Rooftop Halloween Party. The event will feature a sea-themed costume contest and a $250 gift card prize for the winner. Poseidon’s Reverie will be playing deep house beats and melodic sound waves from artists including Avae, Clarity Beats, Cheroc, and Casie Farrell. Tickets are available here.

Grapevine’s Hotel Vin is hosting a Spooky Silent Disco on October 30 from 8 pm to midnight where guests will listen to DJs via headphones and dance the night away. There will also be a costume contest with the chance to win a two night stay at the hotel, as well as food and drink specials like a Witches Brew with Aperol, vodka, lemon, Campo Vieja Brut, and dry ice.

This Halloween, downtown’s The Statler hotel is celebrating the spooky holiday with two events. On October 29, there will be an adults-only party called Afterlife from 9 pm to 2 am, featuring DJ A-Trak in the Statler Grand Ballroom. On October 30, Scare Fare will be an event for the whole family from 11 am to 4 pm.

This European-style food hall in Grapevine is hosting several events this Halloween season. On October 26, head to Third Rail Bar and music venue for a family friendly movie night at 5 pm. Trick-or-Treating at Harvest Hall will take place on October 30 where all seven restaurants will be handing out candy from noon to 2 pm. A costume contest will also be at noon. On October 31, bring your pets to the hotel for a pet costume contest on the plaza.
The night before Halloween (October 30), attend the Space Cowboy Halloween Party at this Design District hotel at 9 pm. The 4th floor Pool Club will launch “The Manor,” a galactic-inspired venue, and guests are invited to dress up in their best space-themed costume. There will be DJs, photo opps, and themed cocktails. This Halloween (October 31), The Boardwalk at Granite Park in Plano is hosting “Halloween at the Boo-ardwalk” from 4 pm to 6 pm. The family-friendly event will include Trick, Treat, and Eat around the waterfront, DJ Dracula, games, and photo opps.
On October 29 and October 30, head to Omni Dallas Hotel for a spooky movie night on Pegasus Lawn. Friday’s feature will be Hocus Pocus, while The Nightmare Before Christmas will play on Saturday night. There will be Halloween-inspired cocktails at Restaurants on Lamar, and the Omni will be participating in Downtown Dallas Inc.’s Trick-or-Treat candy crawl on Friday night.

This new brewery and kitchen near Dallas Love Field is hosting a Howl-O-Ween pet costume contest on October 31 at noon. So bring your pup dressed up as an astronaut, witch, or whatever they want to be this Halloween. The contest takes place during Sunday brunch so come with an appetite as well.
Victory Park’s W Dallas hotel is hosting a Monster Halloween Party on October 30 from 9 pm to 2 am. Costumes are encouraged during the night filled with a live DJ set, party favors, drinks, and spooky decor. For VIP ticket holders, you’ll get two hours of the premium prepaid bar. On October 30 at 7 pm, this Plano food hall is hosting a Hall-O-Ween Party with a live show by Graceland Ninjaz party band and afterparty. There will be a costume contest for individuals, couples, and groups, as well as spooky cocktails, a DJ, and more. Tickets are available here.
Legacy Hall will also be having a HallowQueen Drag Brunch on Sunday, October 31 with a live drag show, cocktails, and food. Tickets are $45 per person.
On Halloween night, Richardon’s CityLine is hosting a movie night screening of Hocus Pocus outdoors on the plaza. In partnership with Jasper’s, the film will begin at 7:30 pm and movie-themed drinks from the restaurant (alcoholic and non) will be available for purchase. There will also be a selection of menu items, or you can pick up food and drinks to-go to bring back to the plaza. So, bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and furry friends and enjoy Halloween with a classic.

On October 30, bring the kids to attend as pumpkin painting party at this Trinity Groves chocolate shop. From noon to 2 pm, kids will paint their own dark chocolate pumpkin ($30) made with edible paints. The center is filled with malt balls, cherries, toffee bits, and more.
