What: A lunch for Aquazzura designer Edgardo Osorio
Where: Neiman Marcus Downtown
PC Moment: Between visiting his fashionable group of Dallas friends, attending TWO x TWO, and work events at Neiman’s, Osorio says “any excuse is a good excuse to be back in Dallas!” This time, dear friends Nancy Rogers, Sue Gragg, and Georgina Hartland hosted a celebratory lunch for him and partner Ricardo D’Almeida Figueiredo at Neiman’s Downtown filled with golden pineapples, shoe perfection, and plenty of pink – the color of the designer’s office in Florence.
Gorgeous heels from Aquazzura’s Fall collection, featuring sparkling crystals, rich materials, and pearl embellishments were placed among pink orchids, creating an utterly perfect tablescape. Osorio says the collection was inspired by the Ottoman Empire and the Silk Road.
“I had been to Istanbul probably three times in six months,” he says. “I loved the materials of things I found in the Grand Bazaar. I thought – this has to be a collection.”
The charismatic, ever-jet-setting designer caught up with attendees while DJ Steffi Burns provided an upbeat soundtrack. The light lunch ended with a dessert perfectly suited to the celebration: a coconut pineapple tart with passion fruit ice cream.
